Recovery, Rollers, and ATL

So yesterday was the first UW Cycling meeting after break. It was Epic, everyone was there... like Freshie. It was a solid meeting. We talked about racing and licenses. I explained to everyone how to get one, and that I would be getting two USCF licenses - one for each leg, and a collegiate specific for my left thigh.

Otherwise, its been a sweet week of recovery. Its been hard on me riding indoors. Plus, I need to ride easy, which sucks. Its hard not to put out a huge wattage. But I manage, cause I know if i dont take it slow, I wont be able to ROCK A's with Freshie.

Oh, and since it was a recovery week, I decided to try something different from my usual strict diet of pasta, cottage cheese and oatmeal. And i have one thing to say: Diet Coke is EPIC. Fewer calories with all the great taste.

Diet Coke is the Bontrager of Colas: THE BEST

So I gotta send a shot out to Atlanta, home of Diet Coke and probably the coolest city ever.

Epic Ride

I was going to use my sweet Leader on rollers today, but instead I went on an Epic Ride. Waite was supposed to come with, but Frye came instead. We pounded at like 660 watts for 4 hours and then did a cool down for 2 hours at 450 watts. Then we went back to my pad and bloiled 3 gallons of water for pasta.

This is my EPIC pot of BOILING water.

While the water was boiling, I set Frye up on my rollers and I went and took a shower. Then I kicked Frye out and ate like 4 kilometers of pasta, some trail mix, a Cliff bar, two nature's valley bars and tons of water. It was Epic.

Then I chillaxed for a while and thought about the ride today. I realized one thing. 30 c cross wheels kick the crap out of EVERY other size wheels... EVAR.

I think I'm gunna go to bed soon so that i can get up at 7 for another Epic ride. Base miles, no sprints, but a drop ride. EASY. And when I say easy, I mean EASY. Zone 5

CAN YOU HANDLE IT?
